LASER
TREATMENTS

What do lasers do and what can they treat?

Lasers and other energy-based devices (EBDs) act by delivering energy to particular areas of the skin. This energy causes a targeted change within the skin which depends on the type of device used and the desired outcome.

Depending on the type of filler chosen, these can treat the deeper lines and wrinkles found in the lower face, as well as improving general sagging and laxity.

Which lasers are available?

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL is a versatile treatment that uses broad-spectrum light to address pigmentation, redness, and overall skin texture. It is highly effective for reducing:

1) Sunspots and age spots

2) Rosacea and facial redness

3) Broken capillaries and spider veins

4) Uneven skin tone

IPL treatments are non-invasive, require minimal downtime, and help rejuvenate your skin for a radiant complexion.

Pulsed-Dye Laser

The pulsed-dye laser is the gold standard for treating vascular conditions. Using a focused beam of light, this device safely targets blood vessels without damaging the surrounding skin. It is ideal for:

1) Rosacea

2) Port-wine stains

3) Red scars

4) Cherry angiomas

5) Hemangiomas

This laser minimizes redness and discoloration, leaving your skin looking clearer and more even-toned.

Nd:YAG Laser

The Nd:YAG laser is a powerful device for treating deeper skin concerns. Its longer wavelength penetrates into the skin to address:

1) Deeper vascular lesions

2) Spider veins on the legs

3) Tattoo removal

It is also used for skin rejuvenation, stimulating collagen production to improve skin firmness and texture.

Non-Ablative Fractional Laser

The non-ablative fractional laser delivers targeted energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping your skin repair itself from within. This treatment is excellent for:

1) Fine lines and wrinkles
2) Acne scars
3) Pigmentation issues
4) Enlarged pores

Non-ablative fractional lasers provide noticeable results with minimal downtime, making them a popular choice for those seeking skin renewal without disruption to their routine.

Downtime and aftercare

After the treatment, skin becomes may become red and a little swollen. By the next day, most of this will have gone down. In some cases, this may last longer depending on what treatment has been given. You will be given full post care instructions and clear guidance on downtime for your individual treatment.
